Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky will try and avoid a sophomore slump this upcoming season and has turned to a fellow NFL QB for help during the offseason. According to Los Angeles Rams' quarterback Jared Goff, the duo will be living and training together in Newport during the offseason. «I'll be down in Newport. I'm staying with Mitchell Trubisky. I'm excited to spend some time with him, get down to Newport, hang out at the beach a little bit.» Goff told Barstool Radio.
Goff mentioned the two don't know each other personally but share the same agent. Trubisky had a fairly similar rookie year as Goff throwing for seven touchdowns and seven interceptions, Goff threw for five TD's and seven INT's. «It's an agent thing. Just met through the process. He was a year younger than me, just met him through the whole deal. We're both training down there.»Goff has taken big steps in improving his game and hopefully can help mentor Trubisky into a similar turn around.
