After today's training camp, the Chicago Bears' depth chart was released, where it shows that the QB2 position is up for grabs between 2nd-year QB Tyson Bagent and vet QB Brett Rypien:
As shown, it says "Tyson Bagent OR Brett Rypien" on the QB2 section.
Tyson Bagent went undrafted in 2023 and won the QB2 spot. After former Bears QB Justin Fields was out with an injury for a few weeks, Bagent took the field and became a fan favourite.
Rypien went undrafted back in 2018 and has been unable to stay on any team long-term, other than his time with the Broncos from 2019-2022.
The battle is on between the two on who will be backing up Bears starting QB Caleb Williams.
