Jonathan Owens will be leaving the Chicago Bears in a few days as he will be heading to the Paris Olympics.
Owens is not participating in the games. Instead, he is simply supporting his wife, gymnast Simone Biles. In a new interview, Owens noted how when he signed his deal with the Bears, he negotiated time off to watch Biles. He has never seen her at the Olympics, and he wants the experience to be that of a lifetime.
"I can't wait to be able to support her,» Owens said. «It's the person you love most, man, and you see them out there in a position where someone could get hurt and you care. I'm just holding my breath and I have my little piece of paper right there ready calculating everything so I can't wait."
