The Chicago Bears announced the signing of offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie to a four-year rookie contract on Tuesday. Selected in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, the contract is valued at $5.914 million, including a $1.121 million signing bonus, according to Aaron Wilson.
General Manager Ryan Poles praised Amegadjie's abilities following the draft. "You love the tools that he has. His pass protection is really strong. We appreciate his length, his hand usage, and he's a big man who we believe will continue to grow more explosive. This should greatly enhance the competition on our offensive line and elevate everyone's performance," Poles said.
Amegadjie, who underwent surgery last October to mend a partially torn quad sustained during his 2023 season at Yale, will not participate in offseason workouts. While Amegadjie expressed optimism about his recovery, he mentioned that there is no set timetable for his return to the field.
