WEIRD: Jets QB Zach Wilson is Not Interested in Returning as the Starter this Season, Insider Reveals

BY JACLYN KULA    DECEMBER 4, 2023  (2:49 PM)
Going into the 2023 season, the Jets named legendary QB Aaron Rodgers as the starter, making former 2nd overall pick Zach Wilson the backup.

Unfortunately, Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury in the first game of the season, making Wilson the starter once again.

Since becoming the starter, the Jets have immensely struggled, and after a blowout loss against the Bills, Wilson was benched, and was named as the 3rd string QB.

The benching did not make any changes to the Jets however, and now, they want to bring Wilson back, but according to insider Dianna Russini, Wilson is not so sure he wants to start again:

Russini explains how Wilson is feeling "reluctant" about getting his role back, which is something that we usually don't hear in the sports word.

The Jets are now looking for their next move, which may not include Wilson.
