Troy Aikman opines that the Chicago Bears have already reached a verdict regarding Justin Fields.

During that game, Fields connected with wide receiver D.J. Moore on a crucial 36-yard pass late in the fourth quarter, setting the stage for Cairo Santos to kick the game-winning field goal. This impressive throw came on the heels of Fields fumbling twice in the final quarter, with one of those fumbles leading to Minnesota's go-ahead touchdown. The outcome could have been in the Vikings' favor had the Bears not demonstrated exceptional defensive play.
Aikman is of the opinion that the Bears have gathered sufficient evidence to make a determination about their future quarterback requirements. With the Bears possessing both their own draft pick and that of the Carolina Panthers, there's the possibility of securing the top pick in a draft that boasts highly touted quarterbacks.
During an interview on the Danny Parkins & Matt Spiegel show on WSCR-AM (Audacy), Aikman shared his perspective, stating, "My thought is they probably already know the answer to that. I don't know that what he might show them here at the end of the season is going to affect that decision." While Aikman didn't explicitly state whether the Bears would commit to Justin Fields or opt for a new quarterback, he did suggest that NFL teams are now "less patient" with young quarterbacks compared to the past.
This implies that the Bears may be leaning toward drafting a new quarterback.
