A quarterback with a collegiate background at both the University of Georgia and the University of Southern California has officially announced his retirement.

JT Daniels is stepping away from the game following the guidance of his medical professionals, a decision influenced by the multiple concussions he sustained throughout his six-season college career. Daniels initially transferred from USC to Georgia in 2020, where he started several games and played a pivotal role in their National Championship victory over Cincinnati in his debut season.
Despite contributing significantly, nagging injuries led to his replacement by Stetson Bennett. Subsequently, he transferred to West Virginia for the 2021 season, participating in 10 games. Ahead of this season, he entered the transfer portal once more, this time joining Rice.
Daniels concludes his career with impressive stats, including 9,390 passing yards and 66 touchdowns. He now intends to transition into a career as a football coach.
