Could DeAndre Hopkins be on his way to Chicago?

The Cardinals are undergoing a makeover this offseason, parting ways with coach Kliff Kingsbury and general manager Steve Keim in the wake of a 4-13 finish. Well, they may be prepared to part ways with one of their top players as well, with theScore reporting the Cards intend to trade star wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins.

After completing his tenth season, Hopkins currently holds career marks of 853 catches for 11,298 yards and 71 touchdowns. In the 2022 season alone, Hopkins was able to record 717 yards on 64 catches despite serving a six-game suspension. Make no mistake about it; The 31-year-old veteran is still considered one of the NFL's premier receivers.

It won't come cheap, as Hopkins recently signed a two-year extension that pays him $19.45 million in 2023 and $14.9 million in 2024.

The Chicago Bears hope to have one of the most impactful offseasons they have ever had in team history. They might not be world-beaters in 2023, but they are hoping to start taking significant steps in the right direction as they build toward being a playoff contender again. I'm confident that landing Hopkins would go a long way toward achieving that goal.

It is important to note that Hopkins has leverage over his next destination because of a no-trade clause in his contract.
