It's almost like a jinx.Ever since the Chicago Bears let go of Robbie Gould the team hasn't been able to find any consistency with their kicker situation. Connor Barth, Cairo Santos and Mike Nugent were all failed experiments and the offseason signing of Cody Parkey was supposed to solve the issue. Cody Parkey of course hit the uprights an amazing four times this past weekend and has lost all confidence from Bears' fans. What made matters worse was when it was revealed that Parkey had never practiced at Soldier Field during the week and was simply practicing at Halas Hall. Both Gould and Kevin Butler spent hours practicing at Soldier Field during their time in Chicago because they knew of the windy conditions in the ummm "Windy City". Parkey is taking a very nonchalant approach about how the criticism he's received during the week so far. «I go home to my wife and my dog, and they don't really care if I make field goals or not,» Parkey said. «So I find peace in that. I talk to my family, stuff like that. But I don't beat myself up, I don't go on social media, I don't do any of that. I could care less about what anyone thinks of me other than people in this locker room.» Clearly the people in the room care because it was announced that Parkey will for the first time this season practice at Solider Field during the week ahead of the Bears Week 11 matchup against the Vikings.
