"DJ Moore Discusses His Recent Passing Session with Caleb Williams
Before the 2024 NFL Draft, there was a notable gathering in Los Angeles where newly drafted Bears' Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze joined seasoned players DJ Moore and Keenan Allen for a training session.
In a discussion with "The Mirror," Moore shared insights from their time together. "It was good," Moore stated. "Caleb invited me to California, and we engaged in a productive throwing session. We exchanged ideas and strategies on how we plan to execute plays. It was a fruitful meetup."
Moore, a vocal supporter of Justin Fields remaining as the Bears' quarterback, had an exceptional season with Fields, achieving career highs with 96 receptions, 1,364 yards, and eight touchdowns.
When asked about Williams' throwing capabilities, Moore commented on his anticipation skills. "You can tell he expects us to be open at specific times. That's something that could improve our game. It might take some time to fully synchronize, but I'm optimistic it'll happen quickly."
The comparison between Williams and Fields might hint at Moore's preference for Williams' quicker anticipation, as Fields has been criticized for holding onto the ball too long and not timing his throws well.
With the addition of Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze, Moore is hopeful about the dynamic within the Bears' offensive line, despite the challenge of having multiple talents and just one ball. "It's always beneficial to have numerous playmakers," he remarked prior to the draft. "We'll have to manage it well, but I'm confident we'll make the right decisions, whether it involves receivers, linemen, or anyone else. I'm eager to see how it all unfolds."
