Bears looking to sign Cowboys former safety

The Bears still have some available cap space headed into the 2024 season and it looks like they might be interested in Cowboys former safety Jayron Kearse.
Kearse started 13 of 16 games for the Cowboys last season finishing with 72 total tackles including 1.5 sacks.
Kearse appeared in 16 games last season with Dallas and made 13 starts. Kearse recorded one interception, 1 1/2 sacks, and 72 total tackles while being an important part of the Cowboys' defense.
While the Bears seemed to have focused on offense this off-season with the additions of Caleb Williams, Kenan Allen and D'Andre Swift, they might see their defense struggle this season as they failed to make any big moves.
