The Bears give great update regarding William following OTAs

After the Bears drafted Caleb William, they decided right away to make him aware that he would not be competing for the starting role and it was his from the start.

Since the decision was already made, they decided to throw at him the entire playbook during OTAs and minicamp. According to ESPN analyst, Williams thrived as he quickly learned the Bears playbook and apart from a few small mistakes, truly impressed the coaching staff.

Insider already regard Williams as multiple steps ahead of Justin Fields in his rookie year since he struggled with learning the playbook and his arm strength was not even comparable to Williams.

Clearly the Bears are in great hands next season as they have a young quarterback who continue to impress his coaches and teammates despite not having played a single down in the NFL yet
