We now know at least 3 star players that won't play in today's pre-season game
The Bears are a few hours away from their first pre-season game of the year. It feels so good to finally have real, live football to talk about!
I know that it,s only pre-season, but it will still give us a chance to have a look at our projected starters and also the younger players trying to make the final 53-man roster.
With that being said, not all starters will be on the field today. Indeed, Brad Biggs reported that Robert Quinn with a small group of #Bears players stretching pregame. A good indication that means he will not play today vs the Chiefs. Absolutely no surprise in that regard. RB David Montgomery & TE Cole Kmet are also in this group.
I think this is a smart choice by HC Matt Eberflus. While the pre-season games are important for players to knock off some of the rust, the most crucial aspect is to keep everyone as healthy as possible. I like that he is not risking his star players!
