Cole Kmet provides reassurance on David Montgomery's injury
The Bears currently have many injuries on the roster and especially on the offensive side of the ball. Two of the biggest names injured are TE Cole Kmet and RB David Montgomery.
However, we can expect both players to be back on their feet pretty quickly. Kmet was asked to give an update on his teammates Montgomery yesterday.
He said of Montgomery, «He's going to be fine; he's going to be back pretty fast,» and then when asked about Kmet, he said, «Same We expect him to be fine.»
Neither is expected to play in the preseason opener against the Chiefs on Saturday, per Eberflus, but that doesn't matter much. Both will have plenty of time to recover and get back up to speed before the season opener Sept. 11 against the 49ers.
I think that, with WR Darnell Mooney, both players will be incredibly crucial to the Bears' offense this year. They should be involved early and often as soon as the regular season starts.
