The Jaguars have placed the franchise tag on their Pro Bowl Left Tackle

Adam Schefter has reported that the Jaguars have franchise-tagged Cam Robinson. This is pretty surprising. Most experts believed the right move would have been to let him test free agency.

The front office has decided that protecting their young franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence was very important. They are 100% right. However, he will have a cap hit of over $16 next season. This is a very high number.

Not great news for the Bears because Robinson was one of the players we expected them to pursue heavily during this years' free agency period.
