The Chicago Bears have released their defensive tackle
Ian Rapoport reported that the Chicago Bears have released Eddie Goldman. They tried to test his market on the trade block but it looks like Ryan Poles was not able to find a suitor.
This move was very understandable and frankly, a little overdue. Goldman has not been available for the Bears in the past few years and when he played, he was not as good as he once was.
With his release, the Bears will save $6.66 million, and they now have $11.3 million extra for 2023.
After the Khalil Mack trade, the Tarik Cohen and now this move, we see that Ryan Poles means business and he is willing to make the hard decisions in order to build for the future.
