The Bears have released a very talented defensive lineman.
ESPN's Courtney Cronin reported that Sam Kamara has been waived by Chicago. She also mentioned that the team plans to bring him back to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
This one is very surprising. I would argue that this is the most surprising roster cut of the day made by the Bears.
The defensive lineman led the preseason in QB pressures. He played like a true NFL player and he really felt like he earned his spot on the roster. However, Matt Eberflus' coaching staff did not feel the same...
The second-year pass rusher has blown by tackles to create havoc in the backfield more than a couple of times. He totaled six tackles and two sacks this preseason, and he led all players in the NFL in QB pressures.
I truly hope he does not get picked up by another team and the Bears could retain him on their practice squad.
