The Bears have released 2 defensive backs.
Brad Biggs reported that the Chicago Bears have released DB Davontae Harris.
Just a few minutes afterward, it was also reported that the Bears are waiving CB Greg Stroman, who had an interception and another pass breakup in the preseason finale.
I have to say that out of all the roster cuts we have seen today, those might be the least surprising. I think it was pretty clear who would make the final roster at defensive backs.
While both players played very nicely during the preseason, the path for them to make the final 53-man roster was very unlikely. I fully expect them to have another shot on a different team very soon.
