3 other offensive players have been released by the Bears
Today is one of the most difficult days in the NFL. It's roster-cutting day. This means that the teams have to bring down the official roster from 80 players to 53.
A lot of very solid individuals are losing their jobs all over the league.
With that being said, the Bears have announced the waiving of these 3 offensive players:
WR Isaiah Coulter
Must read on LetsBearDown
OL Michael Schofield
OL Lachavious Simmons
Coulter was one of the biggest standouts during training camp. He played very well, especially in the absence of many wide receivers at his positions. However, it looks like his play was not good enough to earn him a spot on the final roster.
Schofield was brought in by Ryan POles just a few days prior to training camp but it looks like he wasn't up to the challenge.
As for Simmons, I am very surprised to see him being let go. He played so well during the preseason. He was actually the highest-ranked player on the team per PFF. However, I think this is a testament to the level of play of some of the other younger guys like Larry Borom and Teven jenkins.
