Teven Jenkins describes his situation as a mix of emotions...
Teven Jenkins' training camp was not a routine one...
Indeed, the Bears received trade calls earlier this month revolving around the 2021 second-round pick, who missed time during camp due to an injury. However, things now seem better since Jenkins made the switch from left tackle. to right guard. He is currently slotted to be in the starting lineup.
«It's been like kind of like a rollercoaster and a mix of emotions for me. Going from right tackle three, right tackle, to go to second right guard, now I'm starting right now. It's a lot about seizing opportunity. So that's one thing I'm looking forward to doing this weekend.»
Jenkins also mentioned that with every single practice, he feels like he is gaining confidence.
"A lot more comfortable than when I started because I actually had more reps under my belt," he said, "and I'm starting to learn all the tendencies, all the consistency I need to have to be a guard instead of a tackle."
I think it,s safe to say that the eyes of Bears fans will be on Jenkins this Saturday. If he can earn a starting guard spot, it would help bolster a struggling offensive line and could also help salvage the second-round pick's future with the Bears .
