Report: Travis Kelce Suffered Knee Injury at practice, Unknown if he will Play for TNF
As reported by insider Ian Rapoport, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce suffered a knee injury yesterday, and his status for TNF is uncertain right now:
The Chiefs will be taking on the Lions tomorrow night for the very first NFL game of the 2023 season.
Now, it is being reported that is a bone bruise, so if the swelling goes down, then he should be okay to suit up for game 1:
Kelce is entering his 11th season in the NFL and with the Chiefs. The Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champs, and are expected to come out strong for TNF.
Kelce is a key member to the team, and Patrick Mahomes' go-to guy. If the Chiefs are missing Kelce, then the game could end differently than expected.
As of now, it is still unknown if he will play, but if Travis' brother Jason is right, then he should be well enough to play by gametime.
