REMARKABLE: Newly Acquired QB Leads Team to Victory in Team Debut Just Days After Being Traded, Has Yet to Learn the Playbook or Teammates Names
Under a week ago, the Cardinals traded QB Josh Dobbs to the Vikings, as the team is looking for another QB after Kirk Cousins' season-ending injury.
Ahead of the Vikings game on Sunday, it was revealed that Dobbs will not be starting and will instead serve as the backup for rookie QB Jaren Hall.
Things then took a turn, as Hall exited the game early with a concussion, and the Vikings then were forced to put Dobbs in the game, even though he just joined the team.
After the game, it was revealed that Dobbs still had not learned all of his teammates names yet, was still studying the playbook, and had not taken any snaps in practice:
Dobbs put on a show anyways, and led the Vikings to a 31-28 win against the Falcons, shocking the NFL.
