Mel Kiper Jr Has The Bears Landing The Top WR In The Draft

"Mel Kiper Jr of ESPN has been known as one of the top NFL draft experts for decades now and his mock drafts are usually one of the most respected of the lot. Kiper released his first 2018 mock draft today and he has the Bears using the eighth overall pick on some help for quarterback Mitch Trubisky.
Kiper feels that the Bears will select Alabama wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who generally rated as the top pass catcher coming out of college this year.
«Chicago has to add weapons and Ridley is the best receiver in this call by a mile,» Kiper wrote. «If the Bears can get a pass-catcher here, and don't upgrade in free agency, Ridley makes most sense. If he had played in a better passing offense, he could have been a Biletnikoff winner. He's extremely talented.»
If the Bears draft Ridley and can add a free agent like Paul Richardson from the Seattle Seahawks to go along with the returning Cam Meredith and either Dontrelle Inman or Kendall Wright, they will have a fairly decent receiving corps next year.
In case you are wondering, Kiper has the Cleveland Browns selecting yet another quarterback with the first overall pick in Josh Allen from Wyoming.
