Bears Free Agent Signing Ranked The Worst Of 2017

"The overall feeling among Chicago Bears fans these days when it comes to general manager Ryan Pace is positive. Fans are generally pleased with the new coaching staff he has helped put together over the past week.
Pace has also done well in his first three drafts by giving the Bears some nice building blocks with players like Mitch Trubisky, Jordan Howard, Tarik Cohen, Leonard Floyd, Eddie Jackson and Adam Shaheen. However, he has had some stumbles when it comes to the free agency market.
Dan Graziano of ESPN put together a list of the five best and worst free agent signings of the 2017 NFL season and both sides are not kind to Pace and the Bears.
First and foremost, Graziano thinks that the signing of quarterback Mike Glennon was the worst in the entire league and it is hard to argue against that.
«This one, it feels like, we saw coming,» Graziano wrote. «The Bears guaranteed Glennon $18.5 million, including a $2.5 million 2018 roster bonus, to be their new starting quarterback before they knew they would draft Mitchell Trubisky. Glennon threw for 833 yards with four touchdowns to five interceptions and added three fumbles in four games before ceding the job to Trubisky. The Bears can get out of the deal this offseason if they want with only that $2.5 million guaranteed and a $4.5 million dead money charge. But if they do that, it'll be tough to say they got $18.5 million worth of production out of Glennon.»
He also ranks the Philadelphia Eagles signing of former Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery as one of the best free agents moves. Jeffery stayed healthy, got himself a big $52 million contract extension and the Eagles are one win away from the Super Bowl. Meanwhile the Bears are desperate for real NFL wide receivers to put around their young quarterback.
Here are Graziano's full rankings:

Best Free Agent Signings
Case Keenum QB Minnesota Vikings
Calais Campbell DL Jacksonville Jaguars
Alshon Jeffery WR Philadelphia Eagles
Andrew Whitworth OT Los Angeles Rams
Robert Woods WR Los Angeles Rams
