"Jordan Howard made Chicago Bears history during Sunday's 33-7 beat down of the Cincinnati Bengals. With his 147 rushing yards, he went over 1,000 yards rushing for the second straight year becoming the first Bears running back to ever rush for 1,000 yards in each of first two seasons. Considering the Bears rich history of running backs like Walter Payton, Gayle Sayers, Matt Forte, Neal Anderson and Red Grange it is rather surprising to hear the Howard was the first to accomplish this feat. Last season, Howard broke Forte's rookie rushing record with 1,313 rushing yards. Howard now has 1,032 yards on the ground this season and if he averages 94 rushing yards per game over the final three weeks of the season he will set a new career high. Howard's numbers are especially impressive when you consider how many times he has had to run the ball with eight or nine defenders in the box this season. Offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains finally mixed up his play calling on Sunday and it gave Bears fans some hope for the future with many of the young players coming big.
