During Father's Day weekend last weekend, Lions legend and Hall of Fame RB Barry Sanders reveals that he suffered a serious health scare:
As seen in Sanders' statement, he experienced a health scare related to his heart.
Thankfully, he received medical attention and has thanked his doctors and nurses for the care that he was provided during this scary time.
Sanders played for 10 seasons in the NFL which were all on the Lions. In every one of his seasons, Sanders was selected as a Pro Bowler and to an All-Pro team. He was also named as the NFL MVP in 1997. Sanders is widely considered to be one of the greatest RBs of all time.
Now, after this health scare, Sanders will be prioritizing his health to make sure he does not have to go through this scare again.
