Former NFL Player Reveals which Bears Player was the 'Bright Spot' from Week 1 Loss against Packers
There was not much to be proud of from the Bears disappointing loss against the Packers in their week 1 matchup. However, former NFL player Clay Harbor was able to find one good outcome of the game, which was rookie RB Roschon Johnson:
With only 5 carries in the game, Johnson was able to gain 20 rushing yards, along with one rushing touchdown.
Johnson was drafted by the Bears as the teams 4th round selection in the 2023 draft, after spending 4 years playing for the Texas Longhorns in college.
When he first entered college, Johnson was a quarterback, but was then moved to the running back position during his freshman year. He finished his college career with a total of 448 plays, 2610 yards, and 26 touchdowns.
Johnson was a sleeper in the draft, and since the preseason, he has shown signs of being a threat to the NFL. Johnson certainly has the potential of being a solid RB in the league, and we got a very small glimpse of that in the loss against the Packers.
