Bears Newly Added Vet Shares his Feelings on Week 1 Loss (Tweet)
Bears new tight end Marcedes Lewis has been in the NFL since 2006. He is 39 years old and knows what it's like to feel all of the emotions of a player. He played in some bad seasons, but also found success in others.
After the Bears disappointing loss, Lewis took to Twitter to share his feelings and thought process:
As seen in the tweet, Lewis does not see this loss as a full disaster, as he sees a positive side to it. Lewis sees losing as a way to grow, a way to reflect, and as a way to understand what they truly want.
Lewis signed with the Bears this past offseason on a one-year deal. Even though he may not be the same tight end he was a decade ago, he is still someone who will help the Bears.
This Bears team is young and inexperienced. They don't know what it's like to go through both success and defeat. However, Lewis does, and as a vet, he will teach them. This will only make the Bears better and stronger.
