Details of the Al-Quadin Muhammad contract
Aaron Wilson reported that the new Bears DL contract is a two-year, $8 million contract that includes a $1 million signing bonus, $3.3 million guaranteed, salaries of $1.5 million and $2.5 million guaranteed, an $800, 000 roster bonus, $35,294 per game in active roster bonuses per year, and a $1 million playtime incentive.
Those are a lot of very complicated numbers just to say that he is very well-paid and both Ryan Poles and Matt Eberlfus value him very nicely.
He is 26, and was a 6th round pick by the Saints in 2017. He then joined the Colts in 2018. He has never missed a game for Indianapolis which shows his reliability. He had his best season last year under Eberflus. He should hit the ground running in Chicago with his familiarity with the scheme.
He has 11 career sacks, 128 total tackles, and 22 tackles for loss with the Colts.2021 was his best season by far (6 sacks and 17 starts) and he should keep improving.
