Chiefs' GM thinks Ryan Poles will be great in Chicago
During the Kansas City's interview prior to the combine yesterday, Chiefs General manager, Brett Veach was asked about his former prodigy Ryan Poles. Here is what he had to say:
"He's a tremendous communicator. Understands the inner workings of a personnel department and a coaching staff. ... He knows how important that level of trust and communication is and I think he'll do a great job."
For a first-time General Manager, the big challenge isn't dealing with football, but with people, Veach mentionned.
"The thing that is most challenging for a GM is all the things you don't expect. And sometimes the thing that you're not thinking about are the things that occupy most of your time."
He makes a lot of sense and this is on par with what we have heard ever since Poles was announced to his new position. I speak for all of Bears Nation, we can't wait to see all of the moves he will be able to pull off in the next month or so.
