Bears will be without their top defender vs. the Chiefs
Eddie Jackson, the safety for Chicago Bears, won't be playing in Sunday's matchup against the Chiefs and won't accompany the team to Kansas City.
Jackson sustained a left foot injury during the first half in Tampa Bay, sidelining him for the previous game. He hasn't participated in this week's practices.
Interestingly, this is the same foot where Jackson had a Lisfranc injury in the 12th week of the previous season, which led to his placement on the season-ending injured reserve.
The Bears' secondary faces challenges with both Jackson and cornerback Kyler Gordon out.
In response, Chicago has promoted safety A.J. Thomas from the practice squad to their active roster.
