Bears Veteran Reveals his Plans for 2024 in Regards to Retiring or Not
Ahead of the 2023 season, the Bears signed veteran tight end Mercedes Lewis on a one-year deal.
Lewis is currently one of the oldest players in the NFL, as he will be turning 40 this May. He first entered the league back in 2006, when he was drafted by the Jaguars as the teams first-round selection. He then went on to spend the next 12 seasons in Jacksonville.
Lewis then signed with the Packers in 2018, and stayed with them until his contract expired this past offseason. He then signed with the Bears.
Now, after completing his 18th season in the NFL, Lewis reveals that he plans on continuing his career with the Bears and is not thinking of retiring just yet:
