Bears reportedly made an offer for Superstar receiver Calvin Ridley
Calvin Ridley has been involved in some trade rumors for a while now. He was clearly unhappy in Atlanta. Ridley sat most of the year due to personal reasons. It is hard to speculate on the exact reasons, but it is not a good sign for his future with the Falcons.
Ridley has been an excellent receiver ever since he stepped foot in the NFL. In his first three seasons, he combined for over 3000 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns. The 27-year-old receiver has shown that he clearly is one of the 10 best players at his position in the league when healthy and available.
He has been linked to the Bears for a few weeks now. Multiple reports have now surfaced on social media that the Chicago Bears have actually made an offer. It is not clear the exact offer, but it is in the vicinity of either a second-round pick or multiples 3rd or 5th round picks. While the details are not exact, the interest from Chicago is clearly there.
If Ryan Poles were to pull this off, he sure would bring a lot to the table for the Bears. He would be a guy that could truly change the future for an organization like Chicago's.
Ridley has also been showing some interest in Chicago in the past. Here are both Tweet references:
