The Bears have hired a new safeties coach.
Andre Curtis has been named as the next safeties coach for the Chicago Bears.
Curtis is 45 years old. He has 23 years of experience in the NFL including his most successful time with the Seattle Seahawks from 2015 to 2021.
He was the coach during the famous "Legion of Boom". The amount of pro bowls players Curtis has coached is truly incredible. He has coach Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Jamal Adams, Shaquill Griffin and Quandre Diggs.
During his career, he also spent some time with the Saints, the Rams and the Giants. He also had a pretty good playing career at the Virginia Military Institute academy. He is known to be a very intense and severe coach. That will most definitely fit the coaching method that Matt Eberflus is trying to bring to the Beras.
