Devin Hester was not named as a Hall of Famer tonight.

Bears fans will be disappointed with this one. One of the greatest Chicago Bear ever will not make his way into Canto this year.

Devin Hester had a really compelling case to be introduced as a first-ballot Hall of Famer. Unfortunately, he will have to wait his turn.

Congratulations to everyone who was announced tonight. Although we would have liked to see 23 up there, they truly earned it. It is never a case of someone not deserving to go into the Hall of Fame. It is a case of believing that a guy as dominant as Hester, who was the best player without a doubt as his position ever deserved to get in.

However, as we know, the longer you don't get in, the harder it is to be announced as a Hall of Famer. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
