Bears HC Matt Eberflus Reveals Why OC Luke Getsy was Fired
On Wednesday, the Bears let go of 6 key members to the offensive staff as the team is looking for a change.
Though HC Matt Eberflus remains on the team, the Bears decided to fire offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, and Eberflus is speaking about it now:
Eberflus revealed to the media that he and the team were not pleased with the way the offense has looked. They expect more from that side of the ball and feel like the play calling was not evolving:
"The growth and the development of the offense, to me, needed to be better than where it was"

The Bears had trouble scoring the ball in several games, and even when the defense stepped up, the offense caused the team to lose many of the close matchups.
The Bears are looking to begin their fresh start offensively for the 2024 season.
