It's no secret that the Baltimore Ravens want to make Lamar Jackson one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL.

However, it may look like Jakcson will have to budge on specific factors for his extension.

Banner is a former president of the Philadelphia Eagles, a CEO for the Cleveland Browns, and a front-office consultant for the Atlanta Falcons.

He reported that Jackson and the Ravens will only reach a deal if the player agrees that «this is good enough and take a deal that is likely to be record-setting, even if he doesn't get it 100 percent fully guaranteed.»


Baltimore has been bearish on handing Jackson a fully guaranteed deal due to recent durability issues. The 25-year-old former first-round pick has missed four straight games this year with a knee injury, and he played in just 12 of 17 games last season.

One high-powered agent FanSided spoke with agrees with Jackson's position. Via text, he told FanSided that if he were advising Jackson, a contract wouldn't get done without 4-6 years of fully-guaranteed money.
