Taulia Tagovailoa Opens Up About Brother Tua's Future In Football
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa finds himself in the concussion protocol for a second time this season.
Tagovailoa's head hit the surface at Hard Rock Stadium late in the second quarter after he was brought to the ground after completing a pass to tight end Durham Smythe. Still, he usually got up and quickly returned to the huddle.
However, it was apparent that he was impaired and showed many signs of confusion later in the game.
The Dolphins placed Tagovailoa in the concussion protocol Monday after he reported concussion symptoms.
Tua's brother, Taulia Tagovailoa, spoke to The Associated Press' Tim Reynolds this week and rebuffed the notion that Tua must be cautious with his health.
«Everyone has their opinion,» Taulia remarked. «My brother, I know he works hard. I know he has a family now. I want my brother to be safe, but at the same time I know that he has a love and a passion for football. I feel like he is going to make the right decision. The biggest thing is staying safe, so that is something he has to pray on. I know when it comes down to it, he will make the right decision.»
«I just feel like he's not going to stop playing football,» he added. «I feel like every opportunity he has, he is going to try to play. I don't know, it's just go until the wheels fall off.'»
