We're at 88 days until the Chicago Bears kick off the season. With mandatory minicamps underway, training camp is virtually right around the corner, and before we know it Bears football will be back. With 88 days left until Bears football returns, let's have a look into the history of the number in the franchise.

2000s: Desmond Clark-Clark began his NFL Career with Chicago starting in 2003, this is where he would spend the final 8 years of his career until he hung up his cleats in 2010. Clark ranks among the top tight ends to put on navy and orange. Clark's 242 receptions with the Bears puts him second all-time in team history for receptions among tight ends. To date, Clark only trails the great Mike Ditka in all-time franchise receptions.

1997 NFL Draft: Marcus Robinson-With the 108th overall pick in the 1997 NFL Draft, the Bears selected Robinson. Robinson had tremendous size at 6'3» and early in his career showed promise. Due to injury, Robinson had no production in his rookie season. In 1999 Robinson had the season no one saw coming. Despite only starting in 11 games he recorded 84 receptions, 1400 yards, and 9 TDs. Unfortunately, this was the peak in his career, Robinson would only go on to play 5 seasons in Chicago and would never come close to reaching those numbers again due to an injury prolonged career.
