Offensive guard Dakota Dozier was carted off the field during Tuesday's practice after suffering an apparent leg injury. Dozier was in the mix to start at right guard for the Bears and was an important depth piece. The offensive line cannot afford to lose players to injury as it is already a weak point on the roster.
Dozier was signed this offseason to a one-year deal to compete for a starting spot on the offensive line. He was playing with the second-string offense at left guard when the injury occurred.
What is scary is that the left knee was reportedly the injured body part. Fingers crossed it is not as serious as it seems and Dozier can compete for a role when the season starts.
