Another example of why the Minnesota Vikings will not win a Super Bowl in the near future

Everyone team in the NFL is always trying to evolve and get better. However, sometimes, change is not always a good idea.

Well here is an example. Vikings WR Justin Jefferson spoke with NFL Network's Patrick Clayborn. Here is what he said:

«Our offensive style, it's not a run-first offense anymore,» Jefferson said. «Just us being able to put different people in different positions and distribute the ball, really. I'm so excited in this offense. Us just being in OTAs, learning the plays, going through it with our defense, and stuff.»

Another way of looking at this is that you would be taking the ball out of the hands of RB Dalvin Cook and putting even more weight on QB Kirk Cousins's shoulder.

I don't have anything against Cousins, but he simply is not an elite quarterback. The way to go for the Vikings clearly is not to force him to make even more plays than he already has to.

In that same vein, Vikings running back Dalvin Cook spent time lined up as a wideout during the team's OTA practices this spring and said that he's happy to play «wherever they want to fit me in» on offense during the 2022 season, which is a couple of many signs being sent about the team's new look on offense under head coach Kevin O'Connell.
