WATCH: Tommy DeVito Reacts to his Late-Season Benching (Video)
After both Giants QBs Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor got hurt, the team had no choice but to name their undrafted 3rd string QB Tommy DeVito as the starter.
After winning 3 straight games, his fame grew, and was instantly named as a superstar in New York. He was doing brand deals, trademarks, etc. His agent was being inducted into the National Italian American Hall of Fame, and his whole family were becoming stars.
Unfortunately, this era came to an end, as after getting blown out by the Saints, the Giants decided to bench DeVito. Now, as Taylor is back and healthy, the team named Taylor as the starter for week 17, and benching DeVito.
After this news was announced, the media asked DeVito about it, where he answered with:

DeVito then went on to say that he is still a team player, and will be supporting Taylor from the bench:
