WATCH: Bears QB Justin Fields Speaks to the Media and Sends out a Hopeful Message
In week 6 of this season, Bears QB Justin Fields exited the game early with a hand injury. It was then revealed that he dislocated his thumb and will be sidelined for a few weeks. Now, he is backkind of.
Today, Fields was finally back on the field, and was able to practice. This is the first time we have seen him on the field since his injury.
After making his surprise appearance at practice, Fields spoke to the media about his healing and potential return:

As heard in the clip, Fields has been wearing a glove while throwing the ball to help with grip strength. The pain is not fully gone, but he is starting to feel better.
He also does not deny the chance of possibly playing on Sunday, as Fields said:
"I've been mentally preparing like I'm going to play, but we'll see"
Fields is currently listed as "doubtful" for Sunday's matchup against the Saints, but he is not officially ruling himself "out" just yet.
