VIDEO: Darnell Mooney struggling with two contested catches.
I know, I know this is only the first week of training camp. However, practices are where championships are won! This is the time when younger players can help their case to officially make an NFL roster and where proven players can truly take the next step towards stardom.
With that being said, here are two examples of failed contested catch attempts from WR Darnell Mooney. I know that we should never overreact to plays like that but I am certain that Mooney would be the first one to tell you that he should come up with those plays, especially if he wants to truly become a #1 wide receiver in this league.
Of course, the defender on both plays deserves some credit for the pass breakups, but I think we should expect our Alpha receiver to make those contested catches!
