While most of the big names are off the board, the free agency period is far from done. There are still a lot of big names still left on the market.

A name that has not been linked to the Bears often until now is WR T.Y Hilton.

NFLTR has the Bears as the best fit for Hilton at this point.

The Bears are understandably cap-strapped but they still need to put more around QB Justin Fields for his key second season. Hilton isn't the player he used to be but there's some familiarity with some of the coaches and he'd give the team a savvy veteran in the room.

I guess the risk would not be that high since he would most likely sign a one-year, minimum deal. However, it's still a little scary. Hilton is 32 years old and he has been struggling with a lot of injuries in the past few seasons. In the 9 games he played, he accumulated 331 yards and 3 touchdowns.

I'm not saying it would be a horrible pickup, but it would probably not fit with the direction the Bears are trying to go, which is to get younger. Although, it is true that he would bring an excellent veteran presence and I could hardly think of a better mentor for a young stud WR Darnell Mooney since they both play a very similar type of game.
