Tevin Jenkins Loves the New Offense

It's a new era for the Bears, and Tevin Jenkins couldn't be happier. Luke Getsy's new offense is an offshoot of the Shanahan wide-zone scheme. Getsy is determined to work to the strengths of the players and so far it's showing. This is in stark contrast to the lack of identity that Nagy's offense inspired. Jenkins is simply happy that the Nagy era is over.
«I think it's player-friendly. That's what I think it is, and it's very fast-tempo. That's the two things I love. I'm not trying to give out too much about it. I love it because it's different from what we were doing last year. It's a lot more player-friendly, which I like. Which everybody likes, really. Especially the o-line.»
Justin Fields is another player who despised the previous offense, it wasn't aggressive, they didn't bock aggressively, and there was no tone to be set. Tevin will ultimately probably end up at guard. He's too talented to leave, he just needs to wow the new administration.
