Updated salary cap space
Free agency has started two months ago and the Bears have been pretty careful so far. This means that Ryan Poles could still have a lot of bullets left in the chamber.
Per Spotrac, here is the remaining cap space for the Bears. Keep in mind that with 6 draft choices in this week's draft, we should expect probably around 6-7$ million to be filled.
Bears cap space as of right now:
$13,332,343
While this number does not seem that high, keep in mind that the cap can be very flexible and teams can make some shady moves to work around the cap...
With this amount, GM Ryan Poles will be able to make a couple of moves if he chooses to. I think the focus really has to shift to the offensive side of the ball.
With the really deep receiver draft class, Poles will be able to draft at least two solid wide receivers in the first three rounds. However, the offensive line still needs help.
