The world of the NCAA has drastically changed over the last few years with the introduction of the NIL and athlete allowed to make money now.
The University of Tennessee have now announced that they will be making history as they plan on paying players starting in 2025 and will be now raising ticket prices by 15% and giving the players 10% of it.
Starting in 2025, Tennessee is increasing ticket prices nearly 15%.
10% of that is a "talent fee" that will be going to pay players, per

.
Student tickets went from $10 to $20 this year, and will be $25 in 2025.
Even student ticket prices will also be going up to $25 and while this is a good idea to finally start paying players, it seems like a weird way to do it.
Universities in the NCAA has been making billions of dollars over the years due to their incredible student athlete, it just seems strange that they will be charging fans for this new fee instead of paying the players from their profits they already earn.
