Two Chargers defenders tackling themselves and letting the Rams WR score...
It feels so good to finally have NFL football back! We are able to, not only watch our beloved Chicago Bears but we can also witness some great plays made all around the league. However, with every great play, comes a not-so-great play.
Check out this video of a 60-yard touchdown made by Rams WR Lance McCutcheon.
It was indeed an amazing play made by the receiver. However, it wasn't the best look for the defenders who literally tackled themselves.
The 6-foot-3, 202-pound McCutcheon's long touchdown came after he outmuscled two defenders to make a catch and then kept running about 30 yards to the end zone.
«We talked about it, and he was adamant about it: If it's close, just give me a jump ball and I'll make a play,' » quarterback Bryce Perkins said. «Made great plays in camp, so I felt comfortable giving him those opportunities, and I knew he was going to do a great job at competing for it like he did and he's a great player for sure.
