Trent Brown has plenty of money incentive to lose some weight
Trent Brown recently signed a two-year deal with the New England Patriots. However, a good chunk of the money in the contract is coming from incentives based on playing time and weight. Yes, you read that right, based on weight.
Per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, Brown will make $25,000 for each Thursday during the 2022 and 2023 seasons that he weighs in at or under 365 pounds.
He also gets $150,000 is he checks in at 385 or less on the first day of the offseason program. He gets $75,000 for being 375 or less on June 1. He gets $75,000 for being 365 or less on July 16. It adds up to $750,000 per year, over the next two seasons.
This is so much money just to stay under a certain weight. Safe to say that if I were him, I start doing a lot of cardio and stay away from carbs...
